STILLWATER FIELD GUIDE

HUSH beginner guide: bring the loot home

Your first goal is a successful extraction. HUSH is pure PvE: the infected and the raid clock threaten your kit. You can enter alone or bring up to three friends.

A first raid you can repeat

  1. In the lobby, open Character and move the equipment you intend to carry from your stash into the appropriate slots. Buying a bag and equipping it are separate actions.
  2. Choose Normal while learning the route. This is a conservative starting recommendation; the other official difficulties are Hard and Nightmare.
  3. After deploying, press M. Read the active exit requirements and ping an exit you can use before you fill your bag.
  4. Move quietly, close doors behind you, and reserve loud shots for a situation you can escape. Gunfire attracts the infected.
  5. Loot manageable buildings, watch your medical state and raid timer, and start returning while you still have room for a mistake.
  6. After extracting, move the loot you want to keep into your stash and replace used supplies before the next raid.

What you lose when you die

The developer says you lose what you brought into the raid except the contents of your secure case. Your stash is persistent storage between runs; it is separate from your carried inventory.

Treat a rare loadout as a budget decision. A cheap kit that reaches the exit can teach you more than an expensive kit lost before you understand the map.

When the run goes wrong

  • Bleeding: find cover and use a bandage.
  • Infection: seek antiviral help and plan an early exit. Do not assume a tablet permanently cures the condition.
  • Full bag: compare your exit condition with the gear you are carrying. Storm Drain requires no backpack in one reviewed raid.
  • Lost route: open the map and recheck the current exit label instead of relying on a memorized exit roster.
